Adopted - May 19 Yes, the dynamic duo have found the best pug owners around. Randy adopted Misty and now has opened his arms, house and heart to Duke and Cinder. They will be living out the rest of their lives in comfort and contentment - giving Randy and Juan much love in return.Randy has reported that it is as if Duke and Cinder have been with them all their lives. They have settled in very well. Pugalug could not have found a more perfect home. Thank you for taking these sweet pair into your heart. And thanks to Sandy and Debbie for easing their transition. It was a confusting time for them, but you fostered them into a sense of security. |

Foster Update - May 15 Duke and Cinder have settled very well. They are enjoying the warmer weather and spending more time outside. They went up north to the Red Umbrella Inn on the weekend and loved exploring. They did get very tired with all of the excitement but were quite confident and had no problems with the change in routine.Duke is fully healed from his dental work and neutering. He came through with flying colours and no complications. Cinder is definitely the dominate one but as sweet as can be and loves every one. It has been determined that she is blind in one eye so she is not as confident when it is dark and we carry her down the stairs. They both now ask regularly to be held and petted and kissed. They were a bit hesitant about this before. They snuggle with each other and whoever else wants to join in; person, cat or dog; they don't mind at all. They are eating fruits and veggies for their snacks, now. I think at first they thought it was not a treat but now look forward to their broccoli, carrots, blueberries and strawberries. |

Duke, Cinder and a friend |
Foster Update - April 4 Duke and Cinder are absolutely wonderful. They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Cinder is more independent than Duke, however. It is possible that Duke feels the need to "protect" his "wife" but he is not totally sure of his new surroundings so he has some anxiety about caring for her. He is getting better by the day and you can see and feel him physically relaxing. Also, the gray fuzz on his face makes him look more worried than we think he is. Their general health is good although they have senior dog health problems which are all easily manageable (more details after final vet check up). The pair sleep in the big bed, love to cuddle and enjoy the company of our dogs and cats. They are well behaved, house trained (aside from the initial marking) and generally happy and content. They are familiar with our routine after just one week. They will truly make wonderful companions to their forever family. Whoever opens their home and heart to these old puggies will be very lucky to have them as part of the family. If anyone has considered adopting senior pugs, these are a great pair. |
Foster Update - March 31 Cinder and Duke are very bonded. Duke takes care of Cinder and always makes sure that she is okay. He is more nervous and stressed than she is but he is calming down with time. They have eaten their meals and they did settle down and slept through the night in the big bed after a game of "beach-blanket-bingo" with Winston. They are kind, loving and a truly special, bonded pair. |
Introduction - March 29 Duke and Cinder, are coming to us as their owner has to move into a senior's apartment and cannot take them with her. They have been deeply loved and cared for all their lives and will now be looking to return that love to a new owner. We will have a foster update and photos in a couple of days. |
