Gabby (aka Goblin) - 5 year old female |

Adopted, December 12, 2009 Gabby has been adopted by Matt, who also adopted Grady from us a while ago. She is settling in nicely with her new dad and brother and was having a nap on top of Matt when I arrived to get the paperwork done. She was happily exploring her new kingdom when I left. Happy Tails to you, Gabby! Gabby is a very busy 5.5-year-old black girl. She is very tiny in size only. She is very needy for attention, so leaving her alone for long periods, is not good for her. I'm not saying you can't go out shopping or for dinner, but not more than a few hours. She is well house broken for a Pug. Gabby has luxating patella in one hind leg and is getting a supplement for it. This should be watched to make sure it doesn't start bothering her in the future. She has had dental work done and should have her teeth brushed every day. She is on No Grain kibble and should be kept on it. She loves treats but can be a bit grabby. She has learned "sit", "wait for it", and is learning "gentle", and "no bite". When she got here she had real cat chasing issues. She acted like the cats were prey. She appears to be over this behaviour but I would feel better if she went to a no cat household. She has an issue where her tail is concerned. She has had a spinning, growling episode and chases her tail. She was kept in a crate, a lot. I leave her crate out so she can go into it, if she prefers. She sleeps on the big bed, under the covers and I would prefer this to continue. |
Foster Update - October 10, 2009 Gabby has had her routine vet check up and is up to date on inoculations and has been microchipped. She will need a dental done and that will be scheduled shortly. She also has a somewhat severe case of patellar luxation (loose knee cap) in one of her hind legs, but it does not currently impact on her mobility or her general joie de vive. It may in the future need surgical intervention, but is not currently an issue at this time. She will be starting on a joint supplement to help her. She's a happy busy girl with lots of kisses for everyone. She needs some work on basic manners, but isn't a lunatic about it. And, of course, she thinks cat chasing is big fun!

Introduction - September 29, 2009 Gabby is a five year old black, spayed female. Due to changes in the family, Gabby has come into rescue. She is a lovely girl who loves to give kisses and is quite lively. Her little tongue sticks out giving her added charm. She has been well cared for and should find a new forever home without any trouble. Gabby is a major cat chaser, so a furever home with cats is unlikey! |
