Gabriel came into our rescue on June 20th. Surrendered because his family couldn't care for him any longer. It was immediately clear that this poor boy had major issues with his eyes and his breathing. An emergency visit to my vet and a rush appt the next day with an ophthalmologist and a surgeon confirmed that Gabriel's eyes were too far gone to be saved, but more worrisome, his trachea had collapsed and he had laryngeal paralysis.

Some meds were tried to ease his breathing, but were not successful. As I watched him struggle to breathe, knew that his eyes must be a constant source of agony and saw his energy go down daily, I decided to let him go to the Bridge.
