Gizmo - 6 month old pug puppy |
|
Gizmo came to visit with us on October 12th, and immediately was part of the family.
We were thrilled to find out he was going to come live with us. He has been a joy to have around since he got here.
We have blended our routines and have found one that works for us. He has spent some days at work with Alan and has
learned the fine art of jumping into the desk chair and making it spin.
He has a twinkle in his eye that we have all
learned means, it's time to play. He met his match with this family, by 7pm he's sound asleep, hardly waking to go out
for his last walk before bed. He is at his happiest finding a lap, anyone will do, and going instantly to sleep. |

Adopted - October 15 Gizmo was adopted October 15th into a busy family as requested. There are four children ranging from 8 to 19. Gizmo goes to work with Alan most days, and is a busy, but well behaved boy. The family lost a five-year old pug to a seizure in September, and had a pug sized hole in their family, that is being happily filled with Gizmo. |
Adopter Requirements Gizmo has totally recovered from his neutering. It didn't seem to bother him at all. At the same time he was microchipped, and he was already up-to-date on all his shots. He is a happy energetic puppy. He is a little shy of strangers (people and dogs) and barks and backs away for a short time. Then he’s up for play. Gizmo is a smart guy who will learn routines quickly. Even at 6 months Gizmo is a big guy 18 pounds, so expect a larger adult pug. He has a sweet personality and loves to be on or under people. If there are other dogs or cats, they have to be playful. Also, Gizmo loves to hump. He has recently been neutered, so this should diminish over the next while. |
Foster Update, Oct. 1 Gizmo is a 6 month healthy black male. He is glossy black, with chocolate brown eyes that keep asking “where’s the fun?” Through no fault of his own Gizmo’s has come to Pugalug. His first home evaporated with a move out of the country, and after 3 weeks in his new home, family allergies brought him into rescue. He’s a big boy, eager and full of puppy rambunctiousness. He sleeps in a crate, has no apparent anxiety issues, barks for a few seconds only when someone new comes in, eats well, warms up to new people after a minute or two, and plays and plays and plays as every good puppy should. Action Jackson has met his match and the two frolicked for 2 ½ hours when Gizmo came into the house.Gizmo will be neutered and microchipped Thursday, and after recovery will be ready to find his forever home. He’s need to be with a family who are ready to put the time and effort into training a young dog to reach his full potential. He is fine with children, plays well with other dogs, but we don’t know about cats. Gizmo has had a few pee accidents, but he’s barely settled in, so it might just be nervousness, as he is reported to be fully housetrained and paper trained. |

Introduction - Sept 20 Gizmo is an owner surrender whose children developed allergies to the the pug hair. He is a tall, leggy, handsome little pug who is up to date on his vaccinations and has no known health issues. He does need to work on his house training but that is not unusual for a 6 month old. |
