Adopter Update - April 6 We met Henry on Saturday and instantly fell in love! His little tail did not stop wagging the whole visit. He was very excited to get his welcome to the family presents from us of yummy dried chicken breasts and a nice big comfy bed! Henry is doing so well and has adjusted really well to his new home :)He follows my mother in law every where and is loving his walks and all the attention he is getting from Gabriele, Falk, all the neighbours and of course us too. Henry lathered our little Guy with kisses! He is deeply loved and is such a precious member of the family already. Thank-you Foster Mom Jennifer for taking such wonderful care of Henry and for choosing us as his forever home!
We are so happy and love him so much!! |

Gone to his new home - April 2nd It is with bittersweet emotions that I announce Henry has found his forever home. He was a great dog and his presence is sadly missed in my home. He has gone to live with a retired couple who I am sure will spoil him and give him the attention he deserves. Although he will be the center of attention in his new home he will receive many visits from Pugalug members the Radeke family as he has now joined their extended family.I forgot to take my camera today but have asked that they forward me pictures a.s.a.p.
When I called tonight to see how he was doing he had already been on a walk around the neighbourhood to show him off.
Henry is an extra special dog that has found his extra special forever home. |

Ready to bring joy into your life, 2008 I am pleased to say that Henry is ready for adoption. He's still recovering from his neuterHenry is a GREAT dog - I cannot emphasize enough what a treasure he is. We only had 2 episodes of marking when he arrived at the house and no housebreaking accidents at all! He is like a puppy - lots of energy & goofy in personality. He does well with big dogs, little dogs, cats, adults and kids. He is so excited when my daughter comes home from school that his tail never stops & he has been amazingly gentle with my 3 yr old son. He rarely barks, if ever. The only time we have noticed he makes noise is when he is in the crate and he makes A LOT of noise in the crate. Henry will need basic obedience classes. He has no clue what the word "sit" means. We've been working with him but he doesn't have any manners whatsoever. Not that he doesn't want to please - he just doesn't understand what is being asked from him. And what a better way to bond with your new dog than with some training? |

Introduction - February 8, 2008 Henry has made it to the great white north. He is a 2 year old, intact male puggle with energy to spare! This guy has been going non-stop since I picked him up! He is getting along well with all of my guys including the cats. He could definitely benefit from some basic obedience classes as it's evident he doesn't know any commands. He has shown to be submissive with both hubby & I and hasn't had any problems with the kids. It appears he has had a recent run-in with another dog as he has a couple of wounds that are in the process of healing (a complete puncture on his right ear). I was told he was being fed Royal Canin food but we've got him on Barking at the Moon. I've also noticed he's picky about his treats (didn't like the carrots or the chicken treats we were offering). He has been very gentle - hasn't tried to nip or grab food from us. We have only had one accident in the house and we are hoping to have him into the vet this week for his neuter. He is up to date on shots but will have to be microchipped. He is not responding to his name Henry so it may well change to something the more suits him. |
