Lacey - 2 year old female

Lacey: adopted June 14, 2007

Lacey has been taken into the arms of a wonderful family, Marie, Lyle and pug brother Liam. Lacey (with a little help from Pug Mom Marie) sent us this Happy Tail of her new home:

Well hello everyone! Here are some photos of me with my new family! My Humans had dreams of a beautiful black pug for quite a while ....and they tell me that I am everything that they hoped for...and more! The handsome boy in the shot is my big brother Liam, who is 3 months older than me. We are both two years young and bring endless joy to our parents, who feel very blessed that I am now part of the family.

Liam and I really love each other already! We play tug of war (see photo!), we use each other as pillows for naps, we chase and hide! He is a perfect little friend for me and has made me feel very welcome and likes it when I grab his extra long tail too!

It has become obvious to my new Humans that I was loved very much and touched a lot by my previous family... I love to be cuddled and talked to because of my past good experiences. I want to let them know that I am very happy in my new life!

My first weekend:

My biggest decision this past weekend was which lap to claim...Mom's or Dad's! Liam and I took turns to keep them both happy - they are very clingy humans! I enjoyed the car ride to our cottage this weekend (except for the seatbelt!) and Liam has showed me (so far) 4 puglet beds and endless sofa spots and cushions too! I also enjoyed my first "swim" this past weekend... the water was just up past my little black velvet elbows. Liam wisely suggested a swim to cool my belly...he's older than me so I follow his lead. Then, while still wet, we helped with planting pretty flower pots and we got lots of dirt and flower petals on our faces while we played in the soil as Mom scrambled to get the flowers in the pots before we ran off with them in our teeth! We are natural gardeners! I also had my first encounter with wildlife up there....I tried to eat a succulent junebug on the walk Saturday morning...it stuck to my whiskers, as junebugs will do! It scared me - and my Mom had to help me get it off my little whiskers...then I told it that it had had a lucky escape from my belly!

Thank you everyone at Pugalug - for being my special friends and looking out for me and my Pug Kinfolk. You can follow my chronicles in the Forum everyone!

Yours pugly!

Lacey - Introduction, June 6

Lacey is a 2 year old female that was owner surrendered to us. She came from North Bay to Mississauga, where volunteer Frank Horn (see pic) arranged to transport her to her foster home
Her foster mom reports, after reviewing the medical records, that Lacy needs her vaccinations, heartworm test and micro-chip. In addition she is sweet natured, gets along well with the other pugs in her foster home and is good with children

We will not have Lacey long if foster care. She will be going for a vet visit on Thursday and then we will begin reviewing applications for Lacey
