Oliver - adopted November 1 Here is the happy tale from Oliver's new owners:"Oliver is settling in nicely with both Jaclyn and I. His silly side is starting to show and has been showing interest in other dogs, as his confidence is slowly but surely growing. He is an affectionate and calm little guy who is looking over my shoulder on the couch cushions as I write this. His separation anxiety has been getting better as he is now starting to realize that we will in fact be coming back and he will never have to move into another home again. We are so happy to have adopted Oliver and are looking forward to a lifetime of "nudges" asking us to please continue petting him. I hope that both Pugalug, Joan,and all the other pet rescue agencies continue the work that they are doing for the unfortunate dogs that end up in rescue situations. Oliver is a testament that any dog deserves a second chance." |

Mikey - a Pug/Basset Hound Mix This little guy is Mikey. He is a Pug / Bassett Hound cross looking for a forever home. The vet thinks he is between 10 months and a year old at most. He'll probably max out at around 20 pounds or slightly less.He is very cute, and loves to be petted. He likes to go for car rides, and will happily lie on your lap. He is a calm and affectionate boy, who can have some silly moments! He loves to simply sit near you and be cuddled. He can be a bit sensitive about sudden grabbing or movement, so he needs to be with a calm family. He is crate trained. He enjoys going for long walks on leash, and is responding well to positive food reward training. He was found as a stray and was saved from a shelter two days before he was due to be euthanized. We do not know how he is with cats, and was housed with other dogs so is dog social.
