Milo's Foster Buddies:

Milo is adopted! Milo packed his bags and moved to Toronto on December 12th. He is pictured here with new dad Carson and will be enjoying the company of his canine sister Mitzi and grandparents. Milo's new family will provide an update in a few days. |
Milo is adopted! Milo will be packing his bags mid December to join his new family. Stay tuned for more info and happy tails. Milo is an absolute gem! He is a BIG boy at just under 30 lbs. According to former vet records, he was 23lbs and that is the number we are aiming for. He LOVES his walks and although not crazy about 'portion control', he has learned to like vegetables and enjoys the grain free kibble I serve. Milo takes treats very gently and walks well on a lead. He knows 'sit' and is getting better at 'come'. He can be vocal when I'm not serving meals or passing out treats quickly enough. Due to the shape of Milo's lower eye lids, he is prone to dry eye. He is currently on Optimmune twice a day and the vet is hopeful that after his next tear test, he can go on something 'over the counter' that is less expensive. Milo does not like having his eye ointment put in nor does he like having his wrinkles cleaned. I don't think that he is used to having his head handled and over time will get used to it. (especially when he receives a treat after having these things done). The vet indicated that he will likely need his teeth cleaned in the next year. Milo is used to being left for 4-5 hours and can 'hold it' with no problem. I usually return to find him sleeping on the couch. He also fine over night. Milo has become a big cuddler and loves to sit on my lap in the evening and snuggle between the humans at night. |
Foster Update, November 3, 2009 Happy Birthday to me! I'm 7 today but act much younger. My infected ears are all cleared up and there are no more crystals in my urine. I have started loosing some weight and have gained a lot of energy. My foster family thinks that I am a gem. I understand that I will be available to be adopted by some lucky family soon to be their 'forever' pug. Apparently my only 'bad habit' is sometimes barking at foster mom when she does food prep and sometimes when she is eating dinner. |
