Mookie

At the Rainbow Bridge

Mookie was my heart dog. He came into our lives in November 2002. He was almost one year old then. Mookie came from a shelter, where he was to be euthanized because he needed surgery on his leg. Luckily, he was saved and ended up with Peachy Pugs Rescue, where Dagmar nursed him back to health and I was chosen to adopt him. We had an amazing 10 1/2 years with this bundle of energy. Mookie had the best personality and became known by many that came to Pugalugs, where he was always busy visiting as many people as he could. He was such a loving boy and always made the many Pugalug rescues, that we fostered, feel welcome in our home.

Recently, he became lethargic and wouldn't eat. He was diagnosed with lymphoma, which had spread throughout his organs. Within two weeks he was near death and we had to let him go. He has gone to the bridge, where he will be with his brother Salvador.

We will forever miss his silly, happy nature. He didn't act or look his age of 11 1//2 yrs. We expected to have much more time with our cuddly boy. His fur brother, Mocha is finding it very hard to be without his cuddle buddy.

Candace, Laura, Dan, Ian and his fur brother Mocha.
