Mootoo's Happy Ending - September 15th Its always nice when a puggie goes off to their new life. Mootoo got her forever home today with her new family Sarah & Adam along with a new name "Leila".Leila will have a cat to play with and a guinea pig to watch over. Adam and Sarah live in the Guelph area where Adam works and Sarah is halfway through vet studies. Leila - (Mootoo) greeted Sarah and Adam like long lost friends this morning with kisses and head rubs. She went off happily to her new home. Sarah & Adam hope to join the fun either at the pugalugs in Cambridge or London. All the best to Sarah, Adam & Leila ( Mootoo). I already miss all Miss Moo's kisses and her sense of fun. |

For every pug - the perfect home Well, it took a little while for Mootoo and that special someone to find each other. On September 15th Mootoo's new adopters drove in to Toronto to pick up their precious cargo. We will have a Happy Tail in the next couple of days. |
Cuddly little Mootoo can bring you laughter and joy Mootoo continues to be a great little girl. She loves people and to play with them. Mootoo ( or Mooey or Miss Moo) is a very kind and loving dog with people of all ages and always up for a scratch on the ears, neck, head, back, belly....she loves attention.Miss Moo really needs to find a home of her own. She is very happy here but its important that she gets to move to a permanent home so it does not make it any harder on her when the time comes than it needs to be. She is becoming very attached to the whole family. Mooey just needs a home of her own, she is not difficult, noisy or in any way aggressive to people. Mootoo just wants a nice lap and a kind heart, lots of cuddles and kisses - well one small problem if you don't like full on, all over kisses - well maybe then she is not the pug for you. She is very snuggly, loves the big bed and always cuddles in close - often under the blankets. Miss Moo is very gentle with people. She also gets very excited after a bit of play and cuddles - the one time she barks - is in sheer joy after a kiss and cuddle when she spins about in a circle barking joyfully and loving life. It is very funny to watch her. If you ask her to sit - she lays down.... and she always lays down to wait patiently for her dinner. Mootoo has very nice manners. She loves chewys and laying on your feet and shoulder ( on of 3 pugparrots that currently reside at my house) |

Foster Update, June 234 Update on Mootoo - she is over her initial problems with the runs and is settling in. She is a funny little puggy, varying between bold and nervous. She is very sweet and cuddlely with people, less thrilled with other dogs. She can be a bit aggressive with food - especially treats but also with "ownership" of her "people" and will sometimes be less then friendly if one of the others jumps up on my lap or if they just won't yield to her superior will.Mootoo would be best either as an only dog or potentially with a male but no small female dogs. She is happiest snuggled up and relaxes readily in your arms. Mootoo loves to lay down next to you in bed and proceeds to bathe you with kisses. She is very quiet and tiny. We had some early issues with her "marking" like a male dog ( yes she lifts one leg) and also peeing and pooping in the bath tub. This has finally stopped although we are in the process of moving and today while we were packing she began to pee here and there - stress reaction. She has come with some rather odd little behaviours but they contribute to her rather unique personality. Mootoo will occassionally jump into the tub with you, settling quietly at the back - just sitting there calmly. She is pretty good to have a bath, certainly not afraid of the water but hates to have her nails trimmed. They are longer than they should be but it is hard to get her to settle for it - she cries and yelps like you have cut off a whole toe! Her stomach issues have settled so she will soon be ready to to her permanent home |

Foster Update, June 14 Mootoo is settling in fairly well. She was a bit stressed the first night - did lots of panting.... I don't think she was used to being in the big bed but in the couple of nights since she has come to enjoy this new experience! We have had a really bad time this week with the runs. I had her in to the vet tonight. I tried pumpkin - would not eat it, withholding food still the runs, nothing but green tripe, still the runs. The vet gave me a probiotic stool firmer to put on her food - I hope this works. Her remaining eye is a bit dry so I will get some natural tears for that. One knee is "loose" but it is minor. She had no temperature and her coat is shiny. Beyond that Mootoo is a complete love, she kisses and nuzzles people, very cuddly, loves people, curious. People fall in love with her where ever she goes. |
