Newton - 4 year old male

Newton is off on a new adventure

Newton has gone to live with his new family. Jennifer, Mike and his fur brother Jack, all came to get Newton. Jack seemed very excited about everything. Newton had a great home visit, last weekend. Jack and Newton were doing pugtonas in their backyard.

Today, Jack came with Jennifer and Mike, to take Newton home. Newton, happily followed them down the street, not looking back.

Update - April 8

Newton has grown to be more confident and does very well meeting new people. He is an affectionate, playful dog that would be a wonderful addition to anyone's family.

Newton's update - March 12

Newton is extremely lovable and a pleasure to have around. My family all think he is a doll! He is quite playful and loves to play tug, with his favorite toy. He is a little timid, with new people. His reaction is to bark at them and then scramble back to me, for protection. He is getting better, as he meets more people and goes to the park for socializing.

When first weighed, he was 27 lbs. I have been working on slimming him down and he is now, 24 lbs. 6 ounces! That's almost 2 1/2 lbs. He seems to have some food allergies. So far, we have cut out grains and eggs. He does well on the raw diet. Also, I am trying out a good quality kibble and he seems to be tolerating it.

Newton has learned that cats aren't so scary and gets along great with them.

Foster Introduction - Feb. 14

Meet Newton Socrates

He will be 4 years old, March 21st. He lived with another dog and a 10 month old infant. I am not sure if he has been around cats. He seems very intrigued my mine. He has been described as playful and cuddly.

He is a little unsure about what is going on, as you can tell by the picture of him by the shoes. That was within the first few moments of arriving at his foster home. He eventually started wandering around, checking out my pugs and cats. He is fine with us humans and is quite friendly.

It is too soon to add more. He will need a few days to settle in and will be going for a vet assessment.
