Nyla has been a welcome addition to our family. Her energetic personality and rambunctious behaviour keep us on the look out for items that can be eaten or torn apart! She's just being a cute puppy! In general, she seems to be adjusting well to her new surroundings, socializing with everyone who she meets and playing well with Rudy (Boston Terrier - Pug mix). The two of them run around in circles in the backyard until they both get pooped tired. Nyla is also learning the routines of the house quickly, and understands where to go when we leave for work. Everyday she shows greater progress with new commands - one of her most recent feats is being able to control her excitement when being presented with a treat! On top of that, Nyla is starting to understand which food bowl is for which dog, and that bed time does not actually mean "more time to play with Rudy time." When Nyla first came to us, she had some difficulty controlling where she eliminates; however, today has been momentous in the sense that she eliminated on the grass during her walks instead of inappropriate locations!

Her energy has definitely transferred over to 5 year old Rudy, and the both are playing well with each other. We could not have asked for a more compatible family member! Thank you for all your support and for making the adoption a breeze!

With happy yelps and a bounce in her step Nyla has come through her spay surgery with flying colours, and is ready to find her furever home. She eats a grain-free kibble and is only mildly interested in treats. She loves humans, adults and kids alike, but because she's still a puppy, supervision would be required for little ones. A home with a fenced yard would be great for Nyla, as she is still a youngster, and needs space to burn off her puppy energy. She's also still working on house training, so an apartment would be challenging for her. Nyla sleeps in her crate at night, but has the run of the gated kitchen/family room when left alone during the day. She goes out to do her business first thing, has her breakfast, and needs to go back out to the backyard. Walks seem to be more for sniffing and finding things to play with (sticks, acorns, anything), than eliminating.

Still a puppy, Nyla gets very excited, about everything. Her attention span is still very short. Eager to please, she would do best with a family that has time to train her. Nyla would only do well with a housemate willing to play with her, or on her own with a human who had lots and lots of time and energy to play and snuggle with her. She can be a little tentative with new sounds and movements, but after investigation and reassurance, settles down. While she rolls over to allow new dogs to sniff her, Nyla isn't shy about body checking her foster brother when she wants to play, or shoving a toy at his mouth when she wants a tug.

Nyla loves to be in your face, and loves to be close, weaving in between legs and circling her leash around everything and everyone in her excitement. As all puppies do, after a thorough play, she loves to curl up on the couch, and chew on her rawhides and toys. She is a vocal girl, with a selection of whimpers and squeaks to get your attention. She enjoys little places, content to lay down under chairs, cubby holes and other small spaces.

Our whole neighbourhood thought we should adopt Nyla as Jackson's dog, they are so in love. But Jackson is enough dog for our family (besides we want to keep fostering), so this little wonder is ready to delight a family of her very own.

This delightful little puppy got a clean bill of health from the vet and is scheduled for spaying mid months. Her toilet training is two steps forward, one step back. She confuses her pee pads with any throw rug, and is so distracted on walks, she usually leaves her toileting for the backyard.

Nyla is instigating play with foster brother Jackson, who sometimes joins in, but oh how this puppy needs a child to play with. Everything is a toy, from boxes to pine cones to shoes. In other words -- a typical puppy. Her antics have had us amused since she got her. Once she's recuperated from her surgery, she's ready to go to a home prepared to continue with her training.

While not overly wide, this girl is puppy busy, so it's been hard to take pictures of her. One is after a play getting ready to snooze and the other is an extreme close up and she charges in for a face lick.

Nyla is a 10-month old owner surrender (due to allergies). This small smutty silver girl is a typical puppy. All awkward and excited, Nyla has had little training of any description. With the attention span of a gnat, she flits from thing to thing.

She's settling in well to our routines and her foster brother's attention. A Velcro pug, Nyla slips around and between my legs constantly. She doesn't want toI hope this diminishes as she feel more comfortable in her new surroundings. She's not very interested in her food, but now sits when offered a treat. Pee pad trained, she doesn't understand walks are for eliminations (too many distractions), but is learning the back yard is the place to go. She's affectionate and playful with everyone she meets -- people, kids, dogs and cats. Crate trained, she's spent her first few nights with a minute of whimpering, then quietly sleeping through the night. Nyla has a lovely low muffled bark. Right now everything is so new, she barks frequently, but is actually less noise than her foster brother. When she shakes she makes a cartoon noise that's very amusing. A delightful pug, Nyla will make a wonderful addition to any family with the time and energy to put into training her.

Going for her initial vet visit Tuesday, Nyla will start on her series of shots and in a few weeks be spayed.
