Paige (in back) with Koshi Lin
|
Liberty Paige has been adopted - June 4th From the day she entered our home Paige fit like a glove. All the dogs, (5 Pugs) and a Clumber welcomed her. The cats accepted her and our old kitty Mick slept with Paige from day one. She bonded with me from the first night we spent snuggled in the big bed with Monty and Koshi-Lin. There was just something about her. She seemed so sad and so very lonely. Those who say dogs do not have nor express emotion need only look into their eyes and observe their body "language".As the days passed, Paige began to investigate her surroundings. When she realized I was out of sight, she would whine, wimper and shake. I can't undo the hurt her wee heart has know. We can be there for her now and teach her that she is safe and loved. Her lifestory will have a Happy Tail after all..She now has a whole Pugalug family..Welcome HOME Liberty Paige. Colleen PURPOSE OF LIFE LIFE OF PURPOSE |
Foster Update, June 1st Paige had her vetting this morning. I am pleased to say she has lost 2 lbs. this week. She is a bit less "fluffy" now.Paige is missing a lot of teeth. We were able to have a really good look in her mouth. The Vet thinks she may have been confined for long periods of time and tried to chew her way free. I guess this is why she suffers such anxiety when she can't find one of us. There is a significant wear pattern and most of the front teeth are worn down with a few missing. Some of the molars are missing and the canines are worn. On a lighter note, she is very healthy and sound. Bloodwork will be back next week from the heartworm testing. No signs of arthritis or ills related to a "mature" dog. The Vet thinks she is about 8 years young. They think she is the sweetest natured dog. Her tail sprung right up when they spoke to her. She sat nicely for treats and eagerly accepted all their attention |
Foster Update, May 27 Paige is the most adorable dog I have had the pleasure of knowing. Paige sleeps in the big bed at night snuggled next to Monty. She softly "warble-coos" when she needs to "potty" ro when she is very pleased with what is going on around her. I have never heard such an interesting sound from a dog before.Today Paige attended her first Pugalug. She eagerly went up to everyone there. She accepted pats and snuggles. Occasionally she ventured of to sniff out a new furfriend.Paige loves to be in the centre of the action and especially adores human company. She is a wonderful girl. |
Introduction, May, 25 Liberty Paige - the name somewhat suits her size. She is a bit "round and fluffy"."Paige" has been in 2 homes thus far. The first owner gave her up to a shelter due to housebreaking issues and the second stated she was too "busy", the dog that is."Paige" came to our home yesterday. She is said to be a Pug/Doxie adult. "Paige" gets on well with our 5 Pugs and Clumber Spaniel. She is a bit shy, but will no doubt come out of her shell as time passes. She appears to be well housetrained, going to the door and "asking" to go out. Paige even likes the cats and was gven a wee lick as a "welcome to our home" by our 20 year old cat Mick. The camera flashed bothered her so it was difficult to get a closeup. We will have an update and photos this weekend. |
