Princeton just can't believe he got such a great family
|
Meet Princeton's new family. Tiffany, Susan and his big brother, Tiger (he was the winner of the Running of the Pugs this year). Susan and Tiffany have been thinking about adopting a pug for over a year. Because of their commitments, they waited until now. Tiffany is working on her Ph.D thesis and it required her to be in London a lot of the time. Now, she spends most of her time here and they were ready to add to their family. They are involved in the Pugalug get-togethers and are very oncerned about all the rescue pugs we have had. Princeton and Tiger have had a few opportunities to have play dates, along with Salvador and Mookie. They all enjoy playing together. Today, we met in the local off leash dog park. Princeton, Mookie, Salvador and Tiger had a great time playing. Then we went back to my place to sign the papers. The new family posed for pictures. Tiger and Princeton had kisses for each other. I am a lucky foster mom. I get to have Princeton stay until the
weekend of the 22nd. Then, he will get to go live in his new home.
There will be a few more play dates before then. That should ease
the transition. We look forward to seeing Princeton and Tiger for
many more play dates in the future. |

Princeton Foster Update- March 24 Princeton is settling in, although he is staying very close to me. He has started chewing on a few things, just so I will have little reminders, of him, about my house. He had a great time at the dog park, today and yesterday. He loved speeding about and chasing some dogs. Princeton does very well on the leash and doesn't pull at all. He has a gait that reminds me of an elephant. His head and ears kind of wobble side to side and his body kind of thumps along. Gotta love that puppy awkward stage! He has stopped bumping into my patio door and has mastered his fear of the stairs. |
Princeton and foster pal Mookie playing tug |
Princeton Foster Update- March 14 He is a very sweet natured little man. He is starting to feel more comfortable and wants to wrestle and play tug with Mookie. This morning, he started nipping and tugging at my PJ's. He likes to nip at hands too, although I am letting him know that is not acceptable. At first, he wouldn't climb the stairs and would sit and whine for me to get him. Now he kind of flies up the stairs and stumbles the whole way. Kind of reminds me of a big St. Bernard puppy. He still won't go up or down my basement stairs. I have to carry him and he acts very nervous. He has a big head and big paws. His coat is that peachy colour. Even though he is an active little pup, he loves to cuddle a lot. He has, what I think, is the perfect combination of puppy silliness and desire to cuddle. |
Princeton Introduction - March 11 Princeton is a 10 1/2 month old male, fawn. He is coming to us from Michigan through our American partner, the Pug Rescue Network. |
