L-Fred - December 2002 -- April 5, 2018; a long and happy life.
If you came to a Pugalug and saw a dashing black pug in a leopard print coat, then you have met L-Fred. He dazzled folks with his array of outfits and charm. He had a friend who was his outfit designer. She loved to see the final coats and accessories appear in the newspaper or the Internet.
L-Fred was a Pugalug volunteer. He and his dad would be at the Pugalug booth at either Woofstock or All About Pets, entertaining both adults and kids with his "roo roo" bark and doing his tricks for treats. His pet name was Ru Ru.
During his wonderful life, L-Fred had many adventures. He met Tom Cruise during an MTV interview. He attended High Tea at the King Edward Hotel a few times for the Woofstock Festival. He even had a guest appearance in the Woofstock documentary film.
L-Fred won first prize in the Purina Weight Loss program with a loss of 4.2 kg. And he was connected to social media with his own Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.
He would often be seen in Ramsden Park, meeting and greeting both dogs and humans.
As he grew older, he slowed down only a little, continuing to savour life until the end. L-Fred is now prancing the runway at the Rainbow Bridge. Keep them smiling, L-Fred, you were one in a million.
