360 pugs rescued since October, 2005
It's with great sadness and heartbreak we announce the passing of our Odie on December 4th 2018. Odie came into our lives on October 15th 2010 named "Youdiviz" at 1.5 years old. I gladly renamed him Odie. He had that personality similar to Odie from Garfield. He never changed that much over the years, until he went down really fast.
Blanche at Pugalug introduced me to Dagmar from Peachy Pug to help with some health issues of our now 13 year old pug ,Sami. As miracles would have it Dagmar had our Odie angel in rescue and we took in as a foster failure. Eight years later, I didn't think I would be sending my dear sweet Odie to the bridge.
The joy he brought to our lives is unforgettable. He loved playing in water and was always willing to play a game of catch. He would go hours just burying a ball and finding it and he loved to snuggle. Sami and Odie tolerated each other, but now I can see -- Sami misses him. We miss being greeted by his sharp barks and excitement.
The love from a dog - especially a pug is hard to put into words - the bond I had personally will live in my heart forever. The pain in the end was worth every moment I spent with him-- It was all worth the love.
Dear, sweet Odie -- we love you forever. You will be forever missed-- Meet me at the tree over the bridge.
