Sox - Happy Tail

Sox - Found his home of endless belly rubs.

Sox has been adopted into a wonderful family in Oshawa, where he now lives with a Milo, a four year-old pug, and Katie, an older poodle. Sox made fast friends at once and is now a regular member of the pack, with his own designated sleeping spot on the bed, of course). He eagerly looks forward to the routines of the day, particularly the walking and the eating. Sox lives close to Clara and has made friends with the neighbouring pugs.

Adopter Requirements

Sox has now recovered to full energy levels after his operation on the 5th October to be neutered and microchipped. The operation went well and in all other respects Sox is extremely healthy and up to date on all his shots.

Sox has adapted very well to life in his foster home. He gets on well with our pug Tommie, who is 5, and has a playful yet respectful relationship with our young cat, Mr Giles. Sox is very intelligent and has quickly learned that he is required to wait before running through doors and up and down stairs when on leash. He is learning well that he is not to pull ahead on walks. He still has a tendency to bark at other dogs from across the street, but is gradually learning that this is not appropriate and that other behaviours can have more rewarding results. This will need some positive reinforcement but he is good-spirited and eager to learn.

Sox has high energy levels, is very affectionate, and enjoys a certain amount of attention. At the slightest pretext he will roll over onto his back so that you can rub his tummy. He will do very well in an environment with regular opportunities for walks and much affection.

Socks - Foster Update, Sept 10th

Socks is doing very well. A change to food without cereal grains has greatly reduced his itching. He is gradually learning to not to pull ahead on the leash, and to let others go through doors ahead of him.

There are lots of new things for him to learn but he is doing well and is always enthusiastic. He has lots of healthy energy. He is interested in everything and does very well with other dogs. He gets on well with Mr. Giles, our cat, to whom he is respectful, courteous, and friendly. He is in good health and is pretty well house-trained

Socks - Introduction, Sept 1

Socks is a 7 year old fawn male, energetic and in overall good health. He has a skin irritation that is causing him to scratch continually. A change of diet is planned to eliminate the possiblity of allergic reactions. Socks is a very easy going pug. He loves a belly rub, will sit for a treat and come sit by your side even though he has just met you. He is still intact so neutering will be scheduled after his intial vet check.
